Davis Trip

Our family got together in Davis this week! When we got in on Thursday evening, Mer made us pulled pork sliders. Yum!

Friday morning. You can see Felix's big face peeking out of that screen door!

Look how cute!!!

Yard dogs!

We took a drive to visit Blackwater Falls State Park.

Cheese!

We stopped at the Shop N' Save for some groceries, and Kate and I found these sparkly unicorn gummies named after us! We had to get them.

After lunch, we went out for another excursion to Lindy Point.

Mer, Mom and me!

Felix loves coming to Davis.

Look how happy he is!!

I made green chicken chili for dinner, but didn't take any pics. Felix is the best roommate ever.

The next morning we went for a great hike near Mer's house. This is Felix's favorite place to hike over there.

The moss is so soft and puffy! And green!

Hiking through the ferns.

Standing in the ferns!

Me and my boy!

We went for an afternoon excursion to Pendleton Point. It was a gorgeous afternoon!

Family photo!

Smile!

Then we went into Thomas and hit up Tip Top for some coffee drinks. Cheers!

Then we headed back to Davis for some beers at Big Timber Brewing Company.

Cheers!

We brought Sirianni's pizza home for dinner. Mmm.

The dogs really really wanted some pizza. Look at Felix, he can't even SEE! Just sniffing for pizza.

Please??

After dinner, we did some target practice with the BB gun.

Pew, pew!

The dogs were definitely not invited outside for target practice! I just love how cute Felix's big head looks peeking out that door.

Haha, and here is Felix's big head poking his way into the guest room!

Monday morning, we did some more hiking and exploring before heading home to Ohio. We headed to Canaan Valley Resort State Park. The sunlight was beautiful!

There are some marshy wetlands in the woods. I would love to paddle board here!

Smile, ladies!

Mer and Kate in a beautiful sunny fern gully!

Lead the way, baby boy!

Almost heaven.

Time to pack up the car and head back to Athens. One more picture of his cute big head peeking out of the door. I'm not sure why this gets me so much but he just looks extra cute!

We stopped at Mt. Top Convenience on the way out of town to pick up some pepperoni rolls. They're voted the best pepperoni rolls in the state of West Virginia. And mmm, boy, are they good!!

And then we hit up Dairy King for dessert as we continued towards home.
