Melissa's Bachelorette Party

This weekend was Melissa's Bachelorette Party. A bunch of us girls headed to Cleveland for the event. The first night, we had cocktails in our hotel room, then went out to dinner at Johnny Mango. The strangest thing happened there! My friend Bethany was working! I had no idea she worked there, I had actually never even heard of the restaurant before. So, that was neat. We had delicious drinks there, peach margaritas, mango margaritas, mint juleps, etc. YUM. And some amazing Pad Thai!

During the day on Saturday, we went shopping and had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. That night, we ordered pizza for dinner and got ready to go out. We all wore all black, and wore either an orange or a white big fake flower in our hair. We had some cocktails and played some games in our room before hitting the town.

There were tons of other bachelorette parties out that night, but we were the only ones who had a theme to the way we dressed, so we were by far the coolest group. We went to several different bars, including a three-story bar with a bar on the ROOF! That was my favorite. We danced and hug out and had a great time.

A whole free week!

Adam and I went out of town this weekend for a wedding. On the way back I was telling him how the next coming weekend, I was going to Cleveland Fri-Sun for a bachelorette party, plus there was a picnic thing Thursday night. And that I felt like summer was just flying by! Then I realized that that's the NEXT weekend, and I actually have a low key, relaxing weekend full of NOTHING coming up! Yay! A whole free week! I think I'm going to go swimming.

The wedding was very nice. The ceremony was in a beautiful chapel at Spring Grove Cemetary, and it was only fifteen minutes long! Short and sweet. The reception was at Paul Brown stadium, which was really cool. There was one entire wall that was just a huge window that ran the entire length of the room, and was three stories high. It overlooked the city of Cincinnati. It was beautiful, especially when it got dark outside! Their wedding cake was delicious. Lemon! And there were little pats of butter for the rolls and they were shaped like roses. Cute! An open bar made it even better.

On the way home, Adam and I hit up the Jeffersonville Outlet Mall. I had been informed that there was a Naturalizer Outlet there. How had I not known this before???? Anyway, I went, and bought FIVE pairs of shoes. That's right, five. They were having a sidewalk clearance sale and it was OUT OF CONTROL! All in all, it was a pretty great weekend! Friday night, I ate at the Blue Gator with friends and saw Anchorman, which was HILARIOUS.

Here are some pictures of my five new pairs of shoes, plus another pair that I had gotten the weekend before. Somebody STOP ME.

So Many Magazines

My current project is trying to bust through my huge stack of magazines. I somehow let it get out of control, and I just want to read them all so that I'm caught up. I subscribe to too many magazines: Jane, Fitness, Shape, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Marie Claire, Lucky and Cooking Light. I'm going to let a few of my subscriptions run out. At least Cosmo and Jane. But for now, I just want to read my huge stack. So that's what I've been doing recently, trying to get some reading done in the evenings.

Other than that, July has been fun so far. Adam and I had a fun 4th of July party! Ate cheeseburgers and played Bocce ball. This past weekend, I went to my friend Melissa's bridal shower. It was fun! Lots of fancy little hors d'oeuvres and delicious cakes. Here are some pictures. Rabecca made her get dressed up blindfolded out of weird clothing from a suitcase. Then she left the room and we all had to try and remember every thing she wore!

This weekend I'm going to Cincinnati - Adam's really good friend Marc is getting married. I'm hoping we can hit up the Jeffersonville Outlet Mall on our way home!

Fourth of July!

Adam and I threw a Fourth of July party this weekend to celebrate our independence. We played bocce ball, grilled out, invented a new drinking game, and set off fireworks!

Poker Champion

It's Thursday, which means Poker Night. I love Thursdays. It means it's almost the weekend! Plus I get to look forward to going straight from work to a bar, ordering a big tall ice cold beer, and playing cards with friends. Last Thursday was a monumental night in my personal poker history. The group was me, Yumi, Dan, Mike and Jason. And I took EVERYBODY OUT. As in I took ALL of EVERYBODY'S money. As in NO ONE had any money BUT ME! Whee! It was so fun. Hopefully I will kick ass again tonight...

Okay, so my boyfriend is the greatest. He takes all these awesome pictures of the kitties and then FTP's them to my computer. The most recent batch is as cute as ever. Charlie's latest thing is that he likes to sleep out on the couch every morning. He thinks the tiger blanket is his mom, I swear. He kneads it for a really long time, and it's usually soggy afterward from all of his drool. Then he passes out.

Next up, we have some pictures of Charlie and Emma hanging out on the living room floor. They were being cute and cuddly until Charlie decided to attack Emma's butt. Then she made a smart decision and scooted away from him. That's what you get, Charlie!

I am totally looking forward to the upcoming three day weekend. Saturday night I'm having a big Fourth of July Cookout. Actually it's a Third of July cookout, technically. I hope the weather's nice. Mmm, cheeseburgers. And Bocce ball!
