It's there for me to KISS!

So Adam just FTP'd me a bunch of awesome pictures of Charlie and Emma. They are pies. Pies made of cuteness. I can't stand it!!!

First, we have Charlie on the green towel in the kitchen. He always lays like that, curled in a circle but with one leg sticking out. Like a little handle. I always walk up and kiss it. "Oh! Are you sticking this little white paw out for me TO KISSSS???? I thought so! Mwah!"

Next up, we have Charlie on the couch. Getting happier and happier AND HAPPIER. When he gets really happy he twists himself into a little ball and sort of flips upside down. He looks like a little pile of paws.

And finally, Charlie and Emma on the stairs!!!!

While I'm here I should update upon my weekend I suppose. Friday night I stayed in and did some cleaning around the house. My plan was to go to bed early because Adam and I had a wedding to go to Saturday morning at 10:00. So I was in bed by 1:00, reading a magazine, then Adam came in to see if I wanted to play Trivial Pursuit. I ALWAYS want to play games. So we started a game of turbo, where you get a wedge every time you get anything right whether or not you're on a hub. By the time I HAD to go to sleep (2:30?) we were tied.

Carrie and Brian's wedding was a long ceremony, it lasted until about noon. Then there was a reception at the new University Rotunda. We had lunch, champagne, wine and cake! Carrie looked beautiful. That afternoon, since Leighanna was in town, we hung out. I took her, her brother Nathan, and her cousin Georgi and husband Joe up to The Ridges, because Leighanna had never been! We hung out in the sun and talked. Eventually we started to get hungry so we met up with Adam and Yumi and went to Rio Grande. Mmm. Fajita Burrito. For when you're just too lazy to deal with regular fajitas.

Afterward we hit the bars. We played darts at Tony's for a long time! Then we went to the Union for the rest of the night. After hours at my house, which included dancing and D.P. Dough.

Sunday night we went over to Mom and Dad's for a Father's Day celebration. PIZZA PARTY! We ordered four delicious flavors of pizza from Avalanche. We also had salads. It was fun! When we pulled up, Dad was sitting out on the rock playing guitar.

Double Surprise!

This weekend was so fun because it was finally Yumis' Double Surprise Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party! Summer and I have been planning it forever and it finally happened! It was a huge success, too. It's fun to plan surprise parties!

First, we told Yumi that mom invited her, Summer and me over for a small girl's dinner at her house. Yumi thought that was "so sweet!" SUCKA! The guests met at my house, and we carpooled up to mom and dad's so there would be no suspicious cars there. Summer and I had decorated the house earlier that day. We brought our presents in and sipped wine, waiting for Yumi to arrive. Mom burned a CD of wedding music, and had it all cued up so that when Yumi arrived, we blasted "Here Comes the Bride!" and all yelled "SURPRISE!" So much fun.

Then dad grilled some amazing chicken. We also had salad, orzo, and grilled veggies. After dinner we opened presents and had angelfood cake with a strawberry liquor sauce. YUM. Then we told Yumi we were all going to go uptown to the bars, but first stop by my house for one beer. However, at my house we had decorated everything with photos of naked men, and penis shaped balloons! When she arrived at my house we yelled "SURPRISE!" again! Welcome to your bachelorette party!!!!

We wore tiaras, put on fake tattoos, danced, opened more presents, played Pin the Penis on the Naked Man, ate penis cupcakes, played Ring of Fire, and had snacks! THEN we went uptown. Yumi wore her tiara with flowing ribbons from her gifts uptown. What a fun night!

Charlie sat on my lap the whole time and helped me put the photos online:

In other news, I just started making tacos. I had no idea store-bought taco shells weren't horrible for you! They're not bad at all! The tacos are delicious and Adam has proclaimed me "The Taco Queen."

Memorial Day Weekend & Final Detroit Trip

This was a great weekend! It started off on Friday at noon, when Melissa, Summer, Rabecca and Yumi met at my house to take off for Detroit. It was a fun five and a half hour car ride, and when we arrived we were ready to EAT! We went to a chain called Bahama Breeze. I had never heard of it before. They have FANCY tropical drinks! I had beef and chicken shish kabobs and rice. They were delicious. After dinner we went to this sports bar, "OverTyme" (dumb name!) and watched the Pistons/Pacers game. So unlike our normal plans! In fact, Adam joked as I was about to leave "You guys are going to the game tonight, right?" ha ha. But it was fun. They had pool tables and air hockey! Melissa kicked my butt at air hockey.

Saturday we woke up and headed out to go shopping. We shopped at a mall for awhile, then went to this Mexican Restaurant, The Prickly Pear. I had a sweet potato enchilada, it was very interesting! I had never had anything like it. Mmmm then I got Fudge Brownie Frozen Yogurt at Ben & Jerry's - my FAVORITE! Then some more shopping at Urban Outfitters and DSW. I got two pairs of shoes but I'm going to have to return one because they ended up hurting after I walked in them for awhile. Sucks because they're super cute.

When we were all shopped out, we headed back to Leighanna's. She made delicious Stouffer's vegetarian lasagna, breadsticks and salad for dinner. We got ready to go out. We went to this club Sevin. It was interesting. Lots of gogo dancers and fountains. Leighanna's friend Jay dropped us off at the club, then picked us up when we called him at the end of the night. It was a great setup, very nice of him! Especially having to deal with six squealing girls. We ended up hanging out and staying up late at Leighanna's after we got back.

Sunday morning we got up and took off for the long drive home. I was exhausted, so I didn't do much Sunday night. Read part of a magazine and then crashed! Monday, Memorial Day, Adam, our friend Jay and I headed to Belpre, Ohio for a cookout at Tracy and Jason's house. They live across the street from a playground so everyone played volleyball, frisbee, and wiffleball all day. There were forecasts of rain and storms and damaging winds all day, but it turned out calm and sunny and beautiful. Very lucky! We had margaritas, cheeseburgers, brats, and fun. Oh and there was some trampoline jumping too. Tonight I'm having my folks over for dinner! I'm going to make pasta with ground turkey, zucchini, mushrooms, onions and garlic. And red sauce. YUM.
