Happy Birthday, Ben!

Ben turns 30 this Tuesday, March 30th. It's his Golden Birthday year! We thought that an event of this magnitude deserved a weekend birthday party.

Dad was in charge of balloons, and he really outdid himself this year! His title has been upgraded from Balloon Man to Balloon KING!

Moss was the bartender for the night.

Dennis made his famous chipotle dip.

Mmm, daquiris!

Dads telling stories.

Champagne toast!

Cheers!

Me and the birthday boy!

I made a huge salad with fresh blueberries and homemade blueberry dressing.

Cheryl made three kinds of lasagna!! Meaty, veggie...

...and shrimp with asparagus!

Time to dish up!

Mr. Studlyhunk rolled in just in time for dinner, naturally.

Cheers!

Brad and Carl showed up after dinner, to get in on the cocktail action.

Moss and Brad catching up.

Time for presents!

Everyone gathered to watch.

What could it BE!?!

New bike tires!

Vana gave Ben 80's Scene It, so we played that!

Party blower war!

Mmmmmmm!!!!!!!! Mom made banana cream pies!!!!!!!

Make a wish!

Brad and Carl ended up staying super late, and the party got pretty wild. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BEN!

Irish Cooking Club

Inspired by St. Patrick's Day, the theme of this month's cooking club was Ireland! Valerie went all out for the event. Look at how cute the table looked!

Valerie made DELICIOUS irish soda bread.

She also made a fantastic smoked salmon salad.

Suzanne cooked up a big plate of corned beef.

Yumi did a cheese and onion tart!

I made a baked fish casserole.

Nancy made colcannon.

And Summer made Guinness ice cream and vanilla ice cream, separated by a rich layer of irish whiskey ganache.

Needless to say we were all SOOOOOOOO FULL. Everything was delicious!

Gravel Rouser Grab N' Git

Summer, Leah, Mr. Studlyhunk and I worked a checkpoint at the Grab & Git this year. Mr. Studlyhunk set up our orange flag.

Summer brought the champagne!

Hahahahaha, ALWAYS funny.

Mr. Studlyhunk practiced some putting moves while we waited for our first racer.

Group photo!

Summer showed us some of her color guard moves while we waited!

Hahahahaha, like I said, ALWAYS FUNNY!

Our first racer!!

Racers had to putt the ball into the hole, and we recorded how many strokes it took them.

Ben sunk it in two strokes!!

Finish line party!

Joey announcing the winners, and oh look, there's Aaron in the foreground.

VICTORY!!
