Even When It's Cloudy

So, Gina and I had a yard sale today. It was SUPER CLOUDY all day long. When it was sunny, I sat in the shade. I was wearing this cap-sleeved t-shirt, and a big chunky beaded necklace. I got sunburned BAD!!! From sitting in the yard! LOOK AT MY NECKLACE BURN!

I know, I know. I've read a bunch of articles where you're supposed to put sunscreen on, even when it's cloudy. That you can still get burned. I KNOW! But I just didn't. OOPS. Look at this picture from the yard sale. PROOF of how NOT sunny it was.

This sunburn is embarassing. I'm embarassed to go out in public. I KNOW better than this!!! OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Cheryl!

Tonight was Ben's mom Cheryl's birthday! Kayla had a party at her house to celebrate. Group photo!

Ben and special guest star Tinkerbelle!

Dinner! Mmm.

After dinner, thought it would be fun to see if it was possible to do a mini keg stand from the baby keg of Heineken. Since she was the birthday girl, Cheryl had to be first to try!

It only lasted for about .05 seconds before she signalled us to stop!

Beer went everywhere!

Moss decided to try and prove that it can be done.

Inspired, Cheryl decided to give it a second try. Vana protected her hair with paper towels this time.

The second attempt worked! She got a few successful birthday sips! HOORAY!

Then we headed outside for some Cornhole. Ben and Moss vs. Joe and me.

I think it looks like Moss and I are doing a country line dance here.

Cheryl played for her first time! CORN HOLE!

Vana and Crazy Eyed Tink.

I made birthday cake!

Ben making the "Mmmm! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!" face.

MMM! CHOCOLATEY!

Beercan Chicken

Uncle Tom is FAMOUS for his Beercan Chicken. Tonight, he and Aunt Sue had a big family BBQ at their house! Here he is, cooking up those chickens!

Mmm!

Cowboy Beans!

Ben and I splurged on a FANCY six pack at the Pit Stop. This beer was DELICIOUS. I'd definitely get this again.

Tom proudly showing Mer the chicken!

Dan cutting up some watermelon.

Dinner is served!

AHS Class of '97 Reunion

Today was my ten-year high school reunion! To celebrate, we started off by having a potluck at Stroud's Run. It was fun to see everyone! Most people looked surprisingly the same! It was especially exciting for me because Cousin Dan was in town for the weekend with his family! YAY!!! I miss them terribly so I always look forward to their visits. At night, we all gathered at the Gator for a private party. My dad's band Dogtown played, but since they are all fathers of kids in my graduating class, they went by "Dadtown" for the night! Ha ha! I didn't do that good of a job getting a variety of pictures of people, oops. But I got a few!

Brew Week, Part Duex

Summer and I headed uptown tonight to sample some more of the brews on tap for Brew Week. We started with Columbus Brewing Company's Apricot Ale, at Courtside. YUM!!

We were sitting on the patio, and Thriller came on! Summer is in the process of eventually learning the whole dance. Look at her GO!

Then we headed to Skipper's. Although it was time to pause for a Stroh's, we got some Angry Gorilla Hefeweizens. I know I already have tasted this beer, but I LOVE it so I wanted some more!

Mmm it is SO delicious and it is my FAVORITE!

Tom and Summer being models? Tom had a bunch of beer samples.

Next up, we headed to the Pigskin to try Willoughby Brewing Company's Rapier Wit!

Suzanne is a big fan of Willoughby Brewing Company! They are near her hometown! We loved our Rapier Wits.

Blueberry Trails

Tonight I went to see the new Harry Potter movie. It was great! Afterwards, Ben and I went to The Pub to taste another Brew Week beer, Rocky River Brewing Company's Blueberry Trails Blueberry Ale. We're big fans of blueberry ales. We shared a pint. It was delicious! I sure am glad we went, because I tried to get one the next night and they had sold out!

Blast From the Past

Every once in awhile, Mom will scan some pictures from our old photo albums and email them to me. Those are my FAVORITE days! Here are the gems she sent me last night!

Halloween! This was when I was still a Patch Kid. I was a little bat with a patch. Meredith was a nerd. I'm not sure what her friend was going as.

My family loved to go hunting for morels. Look at how many morels I found!

Dying easter eggs!

Mom made me this full skirt. I loved to twirl around in it!

I was a gypsy for Halloween this year.

At that age, I fit perfectly on the porch swing. I was the exact length of the swing! I wish I still had those velcro leopard shoes. Those were the BEST. They even left leopard prints in the dust when you walked.

I remember this vacation. I was SO SICK! I had a fever. It sucked because I wanted to have fun.

Middle school? I'm not sure I remember what is going on here or whose hand that is.

Ah, second grade. This photo is my FAVORITE. That is me and Jason in the front row. I am third from the left, and he is fourth. WHY IS HE MAKING THAT FACE!?!?!?

CLOSEUP! Jason!!! Why?!??!?! Hahahah!! And look at how SERIOUS I am.

I was probably looking so serious because I seriously hated second grade and I SERIOUSLY hated Mrs. Saunders. She was so mean. What a mean, mean teacher. LOOK AT HOW MEAN AND SCARY:
