Happy Birthday, Ben!

It's Ben's birthday! To celebrate, we had a party at Kayla and Derrick's house! Cheryl made THREE kinds of lasagna, Atira made a delicious key lime cake, and my mom made banana cream pie! It was a feast for sure! Yay for the birth of Ben!

The End of the Perm

Today, Ben decided to cut off his perm. It was a huge decision. We went out to Cheryl's so she could give him a hair cut! At first, she tried to convince him to get a country western mullet!

It definitely would have been beautiful.

Next, she suggested a Flock of Seagull's type hairdo.

But the decision had been made, and it was time to go short. Look how handsome!

Happy Easter!

This has been such a wonderful Easter! When I got back from hiding easter eggs at the lake this morning, I came home to find the cutest Easter note EVER from Ben!:

Then we got ready to head out to his Mom's for Easter Dinner. Ben ate a banana on the way there and tossed it out the window and look where it landed! Ha!

Mmm! MEAT LOAF!

Dinner! The mushroom gravy was out of this world.

Pie!

We had coffee with pie and I got to use this mug! It's perfect for Easter!

After filling up on gravy and pie, Vana took all of our blood pressure.

Introducing Cheryl's new cat, Cutie Pie!

Then when we got back home, the Easter Bunny had left us this Easter Basket full of treats! Yay!

Gravel Rouser Easter Eggstravaganza

Today I suited up in my Bunny Suit and headed to Dow Lake Dam to play the part of the Easter Bunny. I headed into the woods with Atira, Michelle and Suzanne to hide eggs for the final race of the Fifth Annual Gravel Rouser weekened. The eggs contained prizes such as chocolates and gift certificates!

Surprise Engagement Brunch at Summer and J's

Since Rabecca and Leighanna & Co. were in town for Easter, Summer and J decided to have everyone out for a brunch on Saturday morning. What they didn't know was that we all decided to surprise them with an engagement party to celebrate their recent engagement! Halfway through the brunch we busted out balloons and banners and congratulations!

Here is my plate of delicious brunch:

Ella playing in the engagement balloons!

Little baby Nolan taking a nap:

Awwwwwww!!!

Rabecca and Leighanna made chocolate covered strawberries including a bride and a groom set of berries!

Party in the hot tub!

Congratulations to Summer and J on their engagement! We followed the strawberries with a champagne toast.

Ella wanted in on that champagne toast:

(The bottle was empty. Obviously. Right?)

Oh, this was my best idea of the day. One of the top ten best ideas so far in 2008 actually. I toasted up an onion bagel, and then spread it with strawberry cream cheese then stuffed BACON in!!! mMMM! It was so good! Summer split it with me to help cut back on the gluttony.

Fifth Annual Gravel Rouser Grab N Git

Leah and I volunteered as checkpoint girls for this year's Gravel Rouser Grab N Git City Scramble. Our station was the set of stairs behind Bryan Hall. Leah played guitar to entertain the cyclists, and I failed miserably at keeping track fo how many racers had been through:

There were like twenty at once! It was IMPOSSIBLE to keep track! The women's winners:

And the men!

Cupcakes and beer a.k.a. heaven:

Look at how bright Aaron is in his flourescent outfit!

After the race, I went to Tony's for a little while and Pencil requested a unicorn pegagus!

Happy Birthday, Rose!

Tonight we celebrated Rose's birthday by going out to dinner at Stephen's! Here is Rose posing with all of her birthday gifts:

I had them put together a salad with shrimp for me for dinner. It was SO GOOD.

After dinner, we went to the Blue Gator for dessert martinis. They wrote "Happy B-Day" on the inside of Rose's glass with chocolate syrup! Super fancy!

I made Rose a hat for her birthday. On one side we have Sweden:

And on the other, Russia!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ROSE!
