Enter The Kingdom

Starting in January I subjected myself to more horror than I typically would, by attending all ten screenings of ENTER THE KINGDOM, a retrospective of Stephen King film adaptations hosted by the Athena Cinema. The last show was tonight.

As a genre, I generally don’t love scary movies, however Stephen King has always been one of my favorite writers and I love the way his mind works. So this was a fun personal challenge for me and I’m proud to say I made it to all 10 of the shows!

Thanks to all the friends who joined me along the journey, which included gathering for tacos at El Tenampa each week before entering the kingdom. Tacos and terror, olé!

Misery happened to be on Saint Patrick's Day!

Shawshank Redemption.

The Mist. They didn't put it on the marquee, wah!

Sleepover at Billie's

Billie hosted Megan, Cheryl and me for a sleepover this weekend! On Friday night, we went for dinner at Jasmine's Thai and Sushi restaurant. It was delicious!! After dinner we headed to Finnegan's Wake for live music. We stopped by Drug Mart on the way there, and they had these amazing sparkly face stickers! Obviously we bought them!

Matching sparkle stickers and jazz hands!

The bar was having a Mardi Gras party, so we were glad that we had randomly grabbed the sparkly face stickers. We met this couple, who was decked out head to toe!

It was a Unicorn Pegasus kinda night.

Some of the partygoers were kind enough to share their accessories with us!

So many laughs, all night long. I love these gals!!

On Saturday morning, we went to Cherry Street Pub in Lancaster. While we were waiting to be seated, Billie told me that there was this one special booth that reminded her of "if Kate was a booth." I've never imagined what I would be like as a booth before! She asked the hostess if we could have the special booth and she said YES! It was so exciting! Look at how amazing this booth is!!!

The food was delicious too! I had a fried chicken sandwich.

After brunch, we went to Mud Gallery Ceramics & Fine Art Decor Gifts for tarot readings! That was a fun experience.

Spending time with these women always fills my heart up to the brim.

XOXO!

Happy Birthday, Mom!

It's Mom's birthday! We gathered at mom and dad's for a birthday party.

Our family has been obsessed with the card game Golf, so we got mom an automatic card shuffler and some new playing cards.

The shuffler was really fun to use!

Golfing!

For dinner, Mer made turkey pot pies with dill crust. YUM!!!!

Mmm, I got to eat one of the "m"s. Green beans on the side!

I made coconut layer cake.

Make a wish!

Happy birthday, Mom!
