Week of Anne: Day Three

Today was extra special, because Wednesday is Pooleyball Night at Summer and J's!

Even better when you add Sam Adams Cherry Wheat.

The pool was freezing. Rose, who had already been in, jumped in with Anne and I. We needed some motivation!

Another awesome thing about Pooleyball Night is that we get home too late to make dinner, so we have to pick up Taco John's on the way home. Olé!

A Visit from Jenny and Kyle!

Jenny and Kyle came to visit for the weekend! We had tons of fun. Friday night, we played Pictionary! Saturday we went swimming at Strouds, and played frisbee and ate fruit. For lunch we went to Taco John's! Jenny got the infamous Super Potato Oles! Tator tots, nachos-style:

I topped my lunch off with a delicious cookies and cream frozen yogurt!

That night, we went to The Union. Gin for Jenny, whiskey for me.

After that, we headed to Tony's so we could all have delicious hot nuts.

Mmm!

Happy Easter!

Easter sure is a great holiday, because of all of the bunnies! This year, the Easter Bunny brought me the cutest little ceramic bunny, a bunny potholder, and tons of delicious treats. A couple of other great things happened today too.

First of all, I went to Kroger's to go grocery shopping. I had heard a rumor from mom that the Athens Kroger's had started carrying the Edy's Grand Light Limited Edition Girl Scout Cookie Samoas Ice Cream, and the rumor was TRUE. I went down the ice cream aisle and was nearly blinded by the fabulous glow coming from the Edy's ice cream case. There it was. In my own town. Needless to say, I bought a half gallon.





Then, tonight, my sister invited the family over for CHEESEBURGERS. Seriously, could Easter get any better? Cheeseburgers are my favorite. She also made baked sweet potatoes and broccoli. And for dessert, what else but Edy's Grand Light Limited Edition Girl Scout Cookie Samoas Ice Cream!! Yes, it's true. It was delicious.

Yesterday was a pretty slow day. It almost didn't count as a day. I never fully recovered from the Mustache Party until today. Yesterday, I woke up after only five crappy hours of sleep. Then I went uptown with Mer and Summer and got bagels. Then Mer and I worked on the Mustache Party pictures for a couple of hours and went to Taco John's! Not a bad day, but boy was I tired. On our way to Taco John's, Mer and I checked out this stencil by SEAM, on a house uptown. Cool stuff:

New Hobby

I love three day weekends. The weekend felt like it lasted forever! Friday after work, Kathy and I found ourselves once again at Casa, with margaritas in our hands. Delicious! Then Julie met us for a drink after we ate. We were planning to go see Garden State, but then we got talking about bowling and decided to do that instead. It was tons of fun. Kathy kicked our butts.

On Saturday I went to Parkersburg with mom. We did the usual, Gabes, TJ Maxx, Olive Garden. I got an amazing J Crew black wool winter coat for $16.99. Their winter coats are over $200! Score! It was the only one in the store, too! We also went to Crafts 2000, because I have a new hobby - embroidery. It is so hard, but so fun. I want to get good at it. So far I have done a bunny and a butterfly.

When I got back to town, I met Kathy and Julie to see Garden State for real this time. It was so good!! Definitely enjoyed it. Afterward we played some Pictionary at my house. Then Kathy went home and Julie and I played Trivial Pursuit forever. It was hard! But fun!

Sunday I did a lot of reading, which was nice. Then on Monday I went over to Mom and Dad's and worked on a project all day for Dad. We had Taco John's for lunch. Ole!
