We were able to see a sunset from the plane as we landed!
We stayed at the Courtyard King Kamehameha Hotel. Here was our first look off our balcony on the night we arrived.

There was a fish taco place across the street, so we got some that night! The avocado was amazing!
Thursday was our first full day. We woke up to see the sun brightening the sky from our balcony. We were excited to explore!
We wandered around the grounds of the hotel. Here you can see the hotel beach and pool area.
The luau area. There was a luau happening that night, so we bought some tickets for later!

After we checked into the hotel, we found a packet of coupons under our door for free breakfast buffet every morning that we were there. AWESOME!!!!!!!!! It was a great buffet, too!
We decided to hop in our rental car and go exploring.

We had to pick up a few groceries, so we stopped at a shopping center. While we were there, we went to a Taco Del Mar for lunch. Ben got his first burrito of the trip. It was huge!!
I had a fish taco salad. MMM! It was sort of like a fish stick taco salad. WHICH IS GENIUS.
That evening, we headed back down to the grounds for the luau!

The mai tais from the punch bowl were really weak, but you could go over to this little hut where a bartender would make you a better one. That's more like it!
