I have been meeting with a small group of friends from the Pals of Kaleb group each Wednesday night for the past few months, working together to plan a benefit barbecue for Kaleb. This Sunday was the big event!
The Benefit BBQ Bash was held at Toscano's. We had two separate times for people to come: 1-3, and 4-6. This way we could have more total people come. It has been really interesting trying to plan a BBQ for approximately 300 people! Luckily we had Jamie, whose dad owns Toscano's, and she has had a lot of experience with serving large groups of people.
The BBQ featured ribs, brats, black bean burgers, beer, live music, and an awesome raffle! The turnout was excellent, the weather was perfect, and we had a flawless day. It was amazing to have everything run so smoothly! Our goal for the event was to raise $6,000, and we surpassed the $8,400 mark, so clearly the day was a success!
