Today is the anniversary of my first date with Ben! On the way home from shopping with Gina in Parkersburg, we saw a rainbow! Interestingly, Ben and I saw a rainbow one year ago, on our first date. Crazy! Here is the rainbow I saw today. It is hard to see in these pictures, we could only see little sections of it at a time.

To celebrate a wonderful year, Ben and I popped open a bottle of bubbly!

Not just any bub, ALMOND flavored champahnyuh. It is so so SO delicious.

Also, we made a pizza! We used Jiffy pizza crust. It's embarassingly good. Delicious, in fact. YUM! Happy anniversary to us!

Birthday Cappucino

Today, Gina and I went shopping in Parkersburg! We had lunch at Panera, and Gina got me lunch as a birthday treat! Birthday celebration NUMBER SIX, yo! It was delicious and super fun, too! Thanks, Gina!

Poker Night

Summer and J hosted poker down in their barn tonight. Look at how many people showed up!

Mmm. I was drinking this delicious blueberry wheat ale that I got at Trader Joe's.

Look, it's Tommy Forty Hands!

These are the accessories I put on once the stakes got high, in order to intimidate my opponents.

Gourds at the Farmer's Market

I just couldn't resist getting a picture of this lady's gourds and squashes at the Farmer's Market today!

Look at those pretty white pumpkins!

Farmer's Market!

Ben and I had a lunch that day of all Farmer's Market stuff. Crumb's bagel and cookies, cucumber, asian pears, and aged cheddar. YUMMMM.

Birthday Dinner at the Gator

Tonight, I met up with Ben's family at the Gator for birthday celebration number FOUR! Dinner to celebrate my birthday and Moss's birthday. Now, I'm sure you all remember Ben's fur hat that Yang got him for Christmas, right?

Well, he also got one for Kayla, and I have been envious ever SINCE! It turns out that Kayla never really wore hers much, so they decided to give it to MEEEEEEE!!! For my birthday! So NICE! I can't wait to be hat twins with Ben this winter.

Look at the cutest ever vintage salt and pepper shakers that Cheryl got me, too!

Of coures, pretty much the second I opened the hat, Ben was like 'let's see how it looks on MEEEEEE!" hahahaha. Cute, of course:

Since it was our birthdays, we got free birthday desserts. LOOK how FANCY!!! This one was Cheesecake Sundae:

And Reese's Peanut Butter dessert. We all shared them all.

Ben couldn't take his eyes off the dessert!

Look at those teeth!

This one is blurry, but Derrick had disgusting teeth TOO.

Kate Moss Fashion Modelicious Dance Party

Since Moss's birthday is the 22nd, and mine is the 23rd, we decided to have a joint party. The theme was Kate Moss Fashion Modelicious Dance Party! It was a fabulous affair, with a red carpet and everything. Lots of great music and wild times! For some reason, one of the more exciting events of the evening was when Moss was attempting to run and kick the top of the kitchen door frame. It was so exciting! The crowd went wild.

And here is the invitation that started it all:

Birthday Picnic

For my birthday, Ben made me a deluxe picnic! We have always talked about how awesome it would be to have a picnic down under the little fruit tree at the bottom of his yard. And finally, we did! It was the most relaxing afternoon EVER! We enjoyed garlic stuffed olives with fresh herbs, multigrain french bread, brie, macaroni salad, tuna salad, egg salad, strawberries dipped in molten milk chocolate, beef summer sausage with garlic, and fresh sliced garden ripe tomatoes mixed with fresh basil, feta and balsamic vinegar.

We ALSO enjoyed some strawberry champagne and some merlot! And a rendevouz with the garden hose. It was an excellent way to spend the last weekend of the summer.

Yay! It's time once again for Photos Scanned by Mom! First, we have my costume from high school. This was I dunno, junior or senior year I think? I was the Orange Fairy. Because I love orange.

And here we have baby Kate. Or as Mom titled this photo, k8_no_neck.jpg, hahaha.

Happy sisters!!
