Happy Birthday, Mer!

We're celebrating Mer's birthday a night early! I was in charge of the cake, and the plan was to make a red velvet cake. But I forgot an ingredient! I forgot the baking soda! So instead of fluffy layers of cake, I had dense, tough discs of cake. Boo!



I baked a new one. This one is Devil's Food. Mmm, it turned out great! We celebrated at Mom and Dad's house, with a taco bar for dinner. Then cake!
