Cooking Club at Nancy's

Nancy hosted this month's cooking club night, and the theme was Make Your Own Raviolis! COOL!! Here is Nancy rolling out the pasta dough:

Nancy, Suzanne and Summer assembling raviolis!

Valerie jumps in to help.

Yumi brought an assortment of delicious roasted vegetables. YUM.

Time to sit down and eat!

Valerie's crab salad with avocados and blood orange dressing. SO GOOD.

And even better with cheese!

I made sweet potato coconut soup, and Suzanne made rolls. ROLLLLLLLLS.

There were two types of raviolis! These were heavier, and had a red sauce:

And these were lighter and we put brown butter on top. Both were delicious!

And Summer made hummingbird cake! It was a delicious night. Thanks everyone!

Charlie Sitting So Seriously

This evening, I went into the guest room and there across the room sat Charlie, SO SERIOUSLY, on top of my dresser. (Please excuse the clutter). He was sitting like that for at least a half an hour! Look at how SERIOUS he is!

Samosas

Tonight, Vana had us over for curry and samosas. She MADE the samosas! How fancy is she? Delicious little baby pies filled with curried potatoes and peas, YUM. The curry was incredible too. YUM! I want to go back in time and eat dinner all over again.

Open Window!

It was nice enough out today to open up a window for awhile! Charlie was right there right away, soaking up the fresh air.

We're getting another cold front now, but soon enough it will be spring. SOON ENOUGH!

Shopping with Baby K8

Today I went to Parkersburg with Mom, Mer and Baby K8. Baby K8 was so SAD during the drive there!

She was happy for most of the day, though. So cute in her stroller!

Cheryl's New Land

Ben's mom Cheryl bought some land out near Pomeroy, and took us out to see it tonight. On the land, there is an old, old barn. Cheryl is going to have the Amish come and see about repairing it.

Look at the moon and stars up near the roof!

The sky was so pretty tonight.

Ben noticed this wishbone-shaped branch up in the tree!

Oh, a vine!

My little monkey!

Ben running away as the whole vine comes crashing down.

A pile of things to burn.

Unicorn pegasus!

After we toured the land, we went into Pomeroy to eat. We wanted to eat at the Court Street Grill, but it was closed! So we went to the Wild Horse Cafe. Ben got a burrito. Look at how huge it was!

The bun on my chicken sandwich was enormous, too!

Ben was like OMG SO MUCH FOOD UGH.

Happy Birthday, Summer!

To celebrate Summer's birthday this year, we gathered at China Panda for a FEAST!

Rose and I shared two kinds of sushi and their amazing steamed dumplings. SO GOOD.

LOOK at how enormous Nancy's gift to Summer is!

Summer tried the wrapping paper on as a dress!

YAY! Pool floatie! Nancy is the pool floaties expert, so it's sure to be a really good one!

After we were done eating dinner, Missy revealed her surprise for Summer. Little individual fancy chocolate cakes with edible fancy chocolate outsides!

AND STRAWBERRIES!

Cross section. There were chocolate ganache and rasberries inside.

After we were all SO FULL from the desserts, our waitress brought out a free dessert platter courtesy of China Panda!

Omg how are we going to eat it?

Happy birthday!

Another cross section. This one had some sort of sweet ice cream inside. It was good.

Afterwards we went to the Union to listen to some bands. I looked like Frankenstein with my ear plugs!

Here is the tiger hat I made for Summer. Rarr!!

Fierce on one side...

...sweet on the other!
